Falcon Point
Project Information

An existing housing complex on the outskirts of Indianapolis, Falcon Point was decimated by a tornado in 2008, and subsequently condemned. A new owner bought the 218-unit complex in order to rebuild the sorely needed Section 8 Affordable Housing. Rather than simply patching the buildings back together, this comprehensive plan looks at how to improve the entire 18-acre site through relatively simple tactical interventions. Constrained to working with the existing building footprints and roadways, the idea is to improve the quality of housing by designing the public spaces first, while also ensuring that each unit has private outdoor space.
